New graduates are generators of new ideas who bring fresh perspectives to the table. We want to attract these creative minds and help them nurture the talent and potential that they hold.”

“We make it a point to offer employment opportunities to fresh graduates every year. Currently, fresh graduates make up 21% of our employees. We seek to establish a conducive work environment through our open policy and exciting training sessions, where our young Burnetters can hone their skills. We also have in place a mentorship programme where our senior and leadership team, guide the fresh graduates. We want to give them the support that they need to do their jobs well, and eventually build their self-esteem—an important psychological factor necessary in retaining staff members,” said Maureen Gomez, Head of People and Culture, who accepted the recognition on behalf of Leo Burnett Group Malaysia.

Prior to the recent win, Leo Burnett Group Malaysia was also the recipient of Malaysia’s 100 Leading Graduate Employers’ Most Popular Graduate Employer Finalist in the Broadcasting and Media category.

More than just being the graduates’ top employer of choice, Leo Burnett Group Malaysia also dedicates itself to helping develop the best talent pool in the country by actively offering internship programmes and educational talks to college and university students. Some of 2015’s initiatives saw Leo Burnett Group Malaysia playing host to India’s Globysn International Business School Student Visit, and conducting a resume writing and interview skill course at Sunway University. The agency also regularly conducts talks at its premises for students from various local universities.
